Alexa Duke continued her
impressive form this season to take out the Stawell
Amateur Athletic Club Garry Rice Handicap held
last Saturday at Dadwells Bridge.
Run over a flat 5km
course, 22 senior runners lined up for the third
last race of the season.
Finding the flat conditions
to her liking, Duke forged to the front with
1km to go, and managing
to hold off the fast finishing Col Barnett,
made
it her third win for the year. Ivan McDonald
ran well to finish third.
